Graduate program for master and doctoral degrees in Department of Science Studies, Chonbuk National University is widely recognized as one of the best of its type in Korea. It was created in 2000 and was concerned deeply into the interdisciplinary science studies from the start. On one level, it seeks to integrate the perspectives of historical, philosophical, social and cultural approaches for sciences in understanding the technological world.
The educational philosophy of the program assumes that it is the responsibility of graduate students to develop their own approach to STS studies.
