Hye-young Moon received her M.A. in Korean Modern and Contemporary Art History from the Department of Art History at Hongik University and completed the doctoral coursework at the Graduate School of the same university. She has served as a curator at multiple museums and art galleries, and at the National Institute of Ecology she was in charge of exhibition planning and content development related to ecology, through which she recognized the necessity of engaging with science in an academic manner. She is currently responsible for educational programs at the National Saemangeum Museum, while studying history of science, STS, and philosophy of science at the Department of Science Studies, Jeonbuk National University. Her academic interests include the interactions between scientific and technological practices and society.
